These homeowners loved the idea of brilliantly colored tropical foliage in their powder room. When I first consulted with them, they were set on a paper they found on-line, a beautiful hand-printed boutique paper that cost $200 a roll – and they needed 10 rolls. !!
I suggested they visit my wallpaper source (below). Sure enough, they were able to find a pattern very similar that was way more reasonably priced.
The pattern has a lot of motion, but it is not really busy, because the pallet is limited to basically two colors. It really brightens up the room! To compliment the paper, they had the woodwork painted a bright green, and are using a bright brass faucet and light switch plates. The overall look is shiny and crisp and verdant.
This wallpaper pattern is by York, in their Sure Strip line, and was a pre-pasted product. It was bought at a discounted price from Dorota Hartwig at Southwestern Paint on Bissonnet near Kirby.
