The mother-to-be wanted something sweet but somewhat whimsical, but also subdued, for the ceiling in her new baby’s nursery. She fell in love with this dot-within-dots design.

I hung this above the glass beaded wallpaper that you see in see my blog post two days prior (August 11). The color is muted and the dots are subtle, which is just what the homeowner was after. Even better, the pearlized centers of the ceiling dots accentuate the sheen on the wallpaper used on the accent wall below.

This wallpaper pattern is by Kenneth James, for Brewster, and was bought at a discounted price from Dorota Hartwig at Southwestern Paint on Bissonnet near Kirby. (713) 520-6262 or dorotasouthwestern@hotmail.com. She is great at helping you find just the perfect paper! Discuss your project and make an appointment before heading over to see her.
