The pre-existing layer of wallpaper in this master bathroom in the Rice Military (Memorial Park) neighborhood of Houston was not holding up well (see top photo, and also see yesterday’s post).
After the existing material had been removed, the walls had been primed, the room is ready for either wallpaper.
The new choice is not that much different from the original. Except that it’s brighter, and has more movement, as you can see the pattern moving vertically up the wall.
One of the homeowners’ reasons for purchasing this was because the colors coordinated beautifully with three pieces of hand-painted art in the adjoining bedroom (not pictured).
This wallpaper is by Exclusive Wallcoverings. It is a non-woven material and is designed to be hung via the paste-the-wall method. After trying my favorite method of pasting the paper and then having some “issues,” I moved to pasting the wall, and all went well after that.
Non-wovens are designed to strip off the wall easily and in one piece when it’s time to redecorate.
